Hi there, I'm Niamh Byrne, the Principal of Firhouse ETNS. I previously taught in St Colmcilles Senior National School, Knocklyon for seven years. Prior to this, I held teaching roles in schools in Brighton and Waterford. I completed a B.Ed. from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick and I'm currently completing a postgraduate diploma in School Leadership at the University of Limerick. I have also worked as a lecturer (part-time) in Maths in Marino Institute of Education.

I've specialised in supporting Newly Qualified Teachers, and served as a member of the professional support team in previous roles. I've has published a textbook on SPHE for primary schools, as well as a guide for newly qualified teachers.

I'm passionate about inclusive education, and excited to work with everybody at Firhouse ETNS to continue creating a vibrant, respectful and happy environment, where an excellent education is available to everybody in our community.
