The children were very busy celebrating their cultures this week. The children got a chance to dress in clothing representing their home countries, teach their peers a new language, bring in items from their home countries and learn facts about other countries. A huge thank you to all the parents who called us over zoom to talk to the children!

We engaged in activities like an egg and spoon race, ball teamwork games, a sack race, an obstacle course and orienteering to keep ourselves active!

We had lots of fun learning Irish Dancing and learning about St. Patrick this month. We also had our own Lá Glas!
We are engaging in the theme 'The Farmer's Market' for Aistear this month. We constructed some tractors and farm houses using polydrons, created some sheep during arts and crafts, went working and shopping in the Farmer's Market, and practiced ploughing using the sand and some equipment.
For Engineers week we tried to solve problems by making a house for the bear to fit in, moulding our names out of Lego, building houses out of cards and building towers the same height as ourselves!
We decided to have lunch outside in the courtyard to celebrate coming back to school and the arrival of spring!

We really enjoyed the challenge of making newspaper hats for Science Week!
Caleb is a huge fan of the Beatles and over midterm he completed a project all about them. It seems Caleb also had some free time to teleport to Abbey Road himself!
