Our First Month in Junior Infants - We have settled into school and we have made lots of new friends.

The Three Little Pigs/ Na Trí Mhuc Beaga- We have enjoyed learning about the three pigs during Aistear.

The Vets- We have been learning all about the vets and had our first school trip to the DSPCA. We had a fantastic day out and loved all the animals. Thanks to Deirdre and Anna for joining us.

The Doctors- we enjoyed caring for all our patients and loved giving injections.

Science Week-we designed and created boats as part of our homework choice and tested them in school. During science week, we learned about floating and sinking, we built bridges and learned about static electricity. It was so much fun when our hair stood up and the krispies danced.

Engineers Week- We had a fantastic week. We read Rosie Revere Engineer and looked at many interesting buildings around the world. We made our own robots as part of homework choice. We had an exhibition and enjoyed looking at all amazing designs and projects from children in our school. We used makey makey and turned pieces of fruit into bongo drums and tinfoin into dance mats.

We love gardening! We prepped the beds and planted carrot, tomato, peas, potatoes and strawberries. We hope that they will grow.

Mother's Day- We loved making clay eggs for our wonderful mothers.

Mad Hatter Day- The BEST day! We had so much fun wearing our hats!

Newbridge Farm- We learned all about the Farm in April and went to visit Newbridge Farm on the 1st of May. Newbridge Farm is a busy working farm and we had a fantastic day. We loved the kids and chicks. We visited the maternity ward and saw the baby animals. They all looked so cosy with their mammies and the straw to keep them warm. We had a picnic outside which was great fun.

World Book Day- We all dressed up in costumes and read our favourite books. Third Class came to our classroom and we each had a reading buddy. We hope that 3rd Class will come and read to us again soon.
