June in Junior Infants
Our trip to Glenroe Farm
On Wednesday the 24th of May Junior and Senior Infants went to Glenroe Farm! We had the best time. We met all of the different animals on the farm and we even got to feed them. Then we went to the petting zoo and got to hold and pet some rabbits and gerbils.
After our lunch we went to the AMAZING playground and played with our friends before going home. We had a FANTASTIC day! We LOVE school trips!!!!!

Our Trip to the Mosque
On Thursday the 18th of May we took the bus (very, very exciting) to the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland in Clonskeagh. Here Dr. Ali told us all about Islam and we listened to our Muslim classmates recite the Qur'an. We learned things like Muslims pray five a times a day and they fast for a whole month each year, this is called Ramadan. Another great day at school in Firhouse Educate Together!
Our New School Building!
We went to visit the site where our new school is being built. We were amazed to see just how fast it was coming together. We made sure to thank the builders and tell them what a fantastic job we thought they were doing.
Engineering Week
What an exciting week we had for Engineering Week! We learned all about what an engineer does
and then we became engineers ourselves, building playgrounds for our new school!! We also built mazes for our partner to try and work their way out of!
We even got to meet a real engineer, who told us all about what life as an engineer was like!!
Another great week in Junior Infants here at Firhouse Educate Together.
Our first EVER class trip!
Both junior infant classes and senior infants went to The Arc to see Conor: at the end of the Universe. We had a great time and really enjoyed our day out!
One Day Together
We had a great time dressing up and expressing ourselves. We went for a walk in the field next to our school and we had a disco. We raised money for Amnesty and Educate Together. We each received a bracelet. We had a great day. :)
