Hello Everyone,
I'm sorry it's been so long since I wrote the last newsletter but it really has been our busiest year ever and the wonderful news that we are to open two Special ASD Classes in September 2018 as well as welcoming the new Firhouse Educate Together Secondary School to our building means there is a lot more to do than usual. We certainly are progressing and when I look at 3rd Class and think about their first day in Junior Infants in Tymon Bawn Community Centre in September 2013 it amazes me that we have grown and developed so much as a school community.
Below are some very important updates:
Spring Camp: Next Tuesday 3rd April sees the start of our first ever Spring Camp which will run until Friday 6th April 2018.
Homework Club: Homework Club will continue after the Spring Holidays but will not run on Mondays as teachers work until 3.30pm on Mondays as part of their employment contract with the DES.
Race Night 27th April in Morton’s Pub: This will be the first major fundraiser organised by our new PGTA Committee and it will also be the first one I cannot attend as I will be attending the Educate Together Principals' Conference in Galway.
Special ASD Classes: We are all set to open two Special ASD Classes in September. A teacher and two SNAs will be appointed to each class along with an Administrator for the unit.
Secretary: We are delighted the Board of Management has increased our secretary's day by half an hour which means the school office will now be open up to 1pm.
